I just did a Henna Indigo treatment on my hair to dye it black. I am very happy with the results. Here are some photos:

Henna Treatment
Henna, Lemon Juice, Cinnamon flavored Brewed Coffee-24 hour Dye Release. I left this on for about 2 hours under a heating cap.

Indigo Treatment
Indigo, 1tbsp Sea Salt, Warm Water-10 Minute Dye Release. I left this on for 1 hour under a heating cap.

Flexi-rod Set
I blowdried the hair on cool and flexi-rod set the hair with a little shea butter for my ends.

I slept over night with the rods in my hair covered by a satin scarf

Flexi-rod Front
I put on a small ouchless headband and finger combed using about a dime sized amount of Vatika oil for added shine:D . I am about 10 weeks post but I love all the volume my newgrowth gives to this style:D :D :D

I've been saying for years I want to try "hendigo". You've got me thinking about it again. :look:

Good job on the color and your flexirod set!

Super cute! I am sitting here right now w/ my henna/indigo mix, just letting it do it's thing! Your rod set is just too cute!

eta: any before pics on your color?

It looks beautiful. The color is perfect. I just got my Henna, Indigo and Amla Powder yesterday and I'm sitting here looking at the bags. I can't wait to Henna, I just hope my results come out as nice as yours did.:clapping:

Thanks for all the compliments ladies!!!!!:p :p :p

I really had fun doing this hendigo on my hair, it feels like a spa treatment. My hair feels great and I love the extra body and volume. My strands are fine so this is a great benefit!;)

Here is a picture of my hair color before. It is Dark brown but kinda sandy sometimes. I am happy with the shine and vibrance that my hair has from the hendigo

How much of the henna and indigo did you mix to cover your hair? I ask because my hair is about the same length and colour. We are hair twins. I'm scare to do the henna part by itself because I do not want red hair in any form:bah: . Did you air dry your hair after the henna part or did you apply the indigo on the rinsed wet hair? What did your hair look like after the henna only treatment before the indigo?
Sorry for all the questions.

Your hair looks freaking awesome girl. Great job!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I tried the henna earlier in the week as a conditioner with alma oil and yogurt. It didn't make my hair too red it just gave me a dark orangish tone. I didn't let the color release though I just applied it immediately.

For my Hendigo treatment I used 200 gms of Henna mixed with lemon juice and cinnamon flavored brewed coffee. I let the color release for 24 hours and applied it to my hair. I sat under my heating cap for about 2 hours then I rinsed. Immediately I applied the Indigo (about 150 gms). For the indigo I mixed it with warm water and about a tablespoon of sea salt.

I have dark brown hair so the Henna by itself just makes it look more vibrant and shiny. I wanted black so I decided to use Indigo in addition to achieve the desired results. I applied the indigo directly after the henna on wet hair.

I hope that answers everything.:D
