My mom did my sew-in.How do I shampoo it?(Pics)

My mom did my sew-in weave a few days ago. How can I shampoo it without ruining the style? Any tips?

As for how to wash it--I'm completely clueless. I've never had a weave, so I hope one of these other ladies can help. I just wanted to say how cute I think it is.

If the hair is synthetic I wouldn't suggest washing in hot water because that can make the curls fall out, at least that's what happened to me.

The easiest way to wash for me is to put the shampoo mixed with some water in an applicator bottle. Wet your scalp first and then apply the shampoo row by row and massage it as you normally would. Be sure to rinse well.

Your hair is gorgeous. If, you wash the synthetic hair though you're going to wash those curls right out. I don't really know how you should shampoo.

You cant really treat plastic hair like human hair. Thats the downside to syntethic. You have to keep the same style. You cant flat iron it or recurl it. When it frizzes its done.

You can't wash that hair.
It will tangle and matt up.
The best you can do is get some type of braid/cleansing treatment and get inbetween the rows and do your scalp. HTH.

That hair is meant for short term styling, not wash/wear/long term weaving.

Okay, thanks. I don't think I plan to have the style any longer than 2 weeks anyway. I've had the urge to shampoo because I've gotten used to frequent co washing and shampooing . I'll see if I can find some of that "no water shampoo". Any recomendations?

I've said many times before - CO WASHING IS ADDICTIVE HONEY!!

Since it seems as though you can't wash that hair, just use seabreeze or some facial astingent on an old t-shirt and go between the parts with it. It will "freshen" your scalp. Also, don't forget to use a braid spray to keep your real hair moisturized.
