Hey Ladies:grin:

I swore that I would never ever wear a weave but after reading soooo many positive things in the threads, I decided to give it a try. I am graduating and having a party in a couple weeks and I really wanted a style that was very natural but something that wouldn't sweat out etc throughout the day. So I decided to do my hair last night to try the style out first and I am soooo happy with the results! I cornrolled my hair and left the hair out around my edges all the way around. I also left alittle more hair out in the very middle to help with the blending. The entire process took 3 hrs which wasn't bad taking as I did it while sitting on my couch:spinning:. Please check out the pics:grin:

so you sewed it in your self??? and didnt poke the !!! out of your self??? MAN!!! I WANNA TRY NOW TOOO!

how did you sew on the tracks? and how well do you braid? i ask about braiding because i'm still working on braiding better and have always thought that while my braids arent pretty, they're good enough to have weave over it lol

Look great! You did a really good job. Have a couple questions.. How long do you plan on keeping it in for? Also I see your siggy says you're natural, so did you have to flat iron your leave out?

I braided my hair straight back in to about 10 braids. I pulled them up to the top and sewed them down and I had to bend it again and sew them down the other direction. I then did about 4 rows directly straight across in the back. Once I got to the back/middle, I started adding the hair from the sides and going around like a "U" shape. I used a curved needle and surpisingly I only stuck myself a few times . I would say I braid really well and I have been doing braids since I was a little girl but like you said, they dont have to be pretty just tight enough to be sewn around. I hope this helps oh and I watched tons of youtube videos like this one

thank you :)
1.Since its synthetic I probably will only be able to keep it for 2 weeks but I am shooting for 3 and maybe that week I will just bun it.
2. I washed my hair yesterday am and pulled it back in to a tight bun to help and straighten it some. I rolled my hair around the ponytail holder tight to straighten my ends and when I finished the sew in I just added mango butter to my real hair.

my hair is much curlier than this (check my album for pics) so i will probably always have to brush my hair and add mango butter to straighten it some so that it blends well.
