Hi ladies, newbie/lurker checking in with a question. I am 7 weeks post relaxer, planning to relax at 9 weeks. I am losing hair while detangling after adding leave-in (Salerm 21/Rusk/NTM not all at once). How do you get leave-in onto new growth while hair is wet? What is an effective detangler/leave-in that provides great slip from new growth to relaxed ends?

Just a couple of suggestions:
Daily Defense Tender Apple (getting harder to locate since it is being discontinued)
Apple Cider Vinegar (diluted with water)
Porosity Control conditioner (used after a main conditioner)
Nexxus Ensure or Assure (I forget which is which)
Biolage Detangling Tonic or Milk (I forget which one)
Rusk Detangling spray (a leave in)

This is all I can come up with. Hopefully more members will contribute.

i have rusk detangling and its aiight. porosity control is also okay. when i say this, i mean i lose about 10 strnds of hair which might be shed hairs. im still searching for one that doesnt make me lose any. but, one that ive tried so far but stopped using due to my fear of silicones is pantene detangling sprya. i might have to go back to this and make sure i clarify often. also there's mane n tail whih has proteins i think.....another one...surge 14. this thing is da bomb with detangling but its too much protein for me

best picks:
pantene detangling spray and surge 14

Herbal Essences Conditioner has great slip. I use the one in the pink bottle for dry damaged hair. Regular conditioner works better than leave-ins for me when I airdry.

AB Kid's Organics Shea Butter Detangling Moisturizing Hair Lotion. It doubles as a detangler and leave-in.  Gives great slip that makes detangling a breeze. My comb just glides right through my hair when I use that stuff. And it smells like bubble gum!!

A little s curl on my roots works like no other for me, for detangling and moisturizing. I just squirt two squirts on my fingers for the back, two for the middle, and two more in the front, masaging the new growth.
