---If not, what do you do with it? I am actually excited about getting back into working out but am not sure how to handle hair maintenance because
I sweat A LOT and couldn't imagine just letting that salty goodness dry pn my hair.
It really depends on the workout. I found that I cannot co-wash more than a few times a week for the best hair styles. HOWEVER, with some workouts, I can get away with rinsing with water then reapplying a curl enhancer and butter cream.
I have too rinse/cowash. I am a sweaty (sexy) beast when i workout/run and that salt in my hair dries it out and makes it look dull. I have to rinse my hair, usually I cowash because just using water sometimes leaves my hair feeling gross.
no although i sweat in my scalp it is never excessive so i never felt the need to. if i washed my hair every time i exercised i think i would go mad.i also do not work up much of a sweat when exercising.
It depends on how intense the workout is. If its really intense and I sweat a lot I will co-wash right after while I shower.. If I just take a am walk I won't do anything to my hair. If its evening and I work out I just go ahead and rinse/co wash in the shower.
No, I can't it would require tooo much work. I simply stick to my weekly washes. I usually wear my hair in a loose bun or pony to prevent my hair getting wet. So far it works, if my hair every became stinky I would have to readjust this method of course.
i usually don't but that's mostly because i hardly ever sweat (let alone sweat on my scalp). However, if i did, i would probably do a co-wash after every work out. smelly hair is not cute
When I was doing my heavy workouts (Latin Dancing) I had no choice but to rinse my hair as it was already drenched with sweat. Now that I'm pregnant, I just do walking and I don't sweat much, especially not my hair so I don't have to worry about rinsing.
I don't and I cant. My hair is a bit on the fine side, porous and dense and it would take me too long not to rip my hair out every time I co-wash, every time I workout. It would be possible if I cut my hair short which I'm not doing. For me its a trade off.
With that said, I do cowash or shampoo twice a week, sometimes three.
I've recently discovered that the extra washes helps relieve an itchy scalp (maybe triggered from the sweat). I don't wash after EVERY workout but I try to co-wash at least by mid-week since my major wash day is on Sat. If I sweat extra hard, then I wash on that day also. I just adjust it to my liking each week.
80% of the time I will cowash after a good workout, I don't detangle every time I just do it in twists. I really don't see it as too much manipulation because I don't comb my hair more than maybe twice a week if that. And no my hair is not matted lol.
I exercise everyday, but when I do a hard sweaty workout it is on one of my wash days which is 2x a week. I don't sweat in the scalp unless I am doing some type of intense workout.
It depends on how my hair is styled. If I'm wearing a protective style, I just use a little witch hazel on my scalp until my weekly washing. I don't think it's necessary to wash after every workout.
When my hair is loose, I try to wear it high on my head w/ a sweat band. Then I air it out once I'm done.
