What do you do? I am 4a/4b about a 50/50 split. The coils are about the size of coils in ink pens. I know that we are not supposed to brush wet, but that is the only way I don't get frizz when I brush my hair. I usually wear twists, but now my hair is long enough to put up in a pony puff, or even do a french braid. I would like to wear some of these styles without looking like they are days old when I just did them. Any thing I can do besides brushing wet hair? The scarf trick on wet hair always leaves these weird smushed curls at my temples. I have been walking by texturizers at Wal-Mart more frequently. I am so frustrated. HELP!:wallbash:

I understand your frustration :yep:. For me, two products that cut down on frizz are the blue IC Fantasia gel (especially for a style like twists), and Cantu shea butter leave-in repair cream. The Cantu really knocks out the frizz for me in the most coarse section of my hair (at the front).

Disclaimer: I DO NOT use these two products together :nono:! I use either one or the other at any given time. I have heard that for some people using these two products at the same time = white clumps in the hair. I don't know if it's true, but the Cantu works so well at taming frizz by itself that I don't tempt fate.

Have you tried Dark n Lovely Lock and Twist Butter?....my Mum has been using this forever and i just decided to try it. Fantastic for calming down dry, frizzy ends. I use it on the ends of my twists.

Also try the gel in the same line.

Garnier Fructis Curl n' Shine (the whole line) fights frizz :yep: and Aussie has a line called Aussie Sydney Smooth that's awesome at fighting frizz. I have already decided that I will be going back and forth between both lines simply because it works so well on MY hair and I'm a 4a natural. :yep::up:
