I want to wear my flat ironed hair in a ponytail. My hair seems so think that I need something to slick it down with. What product can I use that won't make my hair revert?

Some kind of grease is what I use, nothing water based. I like almond glaze from Hairveda. However, usually when I flat iron before my edges start to revert, I don't need to really use anything to slick it down.

Castor oil. It slicks my hair down really well. Just take a dime size amount and rub it between your hands and apply it to your edges.

Also edge control by ORS works great! What most people dont know is that the main ingredient in edge control is castor oil.

Since you just want to wear it in a ponytail, I think the key is wearing scarf at night (and when you're lounging around the house).

Oils and pomades/glazes help. I don't think the brand matters.

It's so weird. When I had a perm, my hair was thin. never had a problem slicking it down. Now when I straighten it seems so thick. Maybe my hair is thicker and I'm just in denial lol.

I use this ORS edge control pomade when my hair is straight. It works really well.

In the summer time I use avocado oil or castor oil to slick down the edges. If its very hot outside that won't work and I brush my hair back with a damp brush and then apply some ecostyler gel.
