Neater Cornrows

Anyway i can get neater cornrows? i've had my girlfriend try to braid my hair and it looked messy i had nothing on my hair but me being a 4a/4b my hair is kinda coarse and i dont like grease it flakes my scalp.

you could try sleeping with a doo rag or scarf on your head at night while sleeping. Maybe if u dampen your hair with a spray bottle with water and then add a light oil onto the hair before braiding it'll calm the frizzies down and add a natural sheen.

each nite spray ur hair with water in a spray bottle with some oil of ur choice and spray each nite then use a satin scalf or cap and it works greats. i use to wear cornrows for 1 year until it gave me to many problem so i do the twists all over that last 3 weeks to 4.

maybe your girl could try doing your hair when it is slightly dampp..and using a moisturizing cream..i have learned that if u do corn rows with absolutley nothing with 4a/b hair they look messy...this has worked for me i use a lil cream and some water and i am good to go...or Elasta QP Glaze i like this its not 2 gel-ish so it works well...
