Guys,

I've been using MTG all throughout this year and this past month La India. They are not helping wtih my thinning edges at all. It's not astronomically bad yet, but it's steadily getting worse. Any other suggestion on growth aids?

Finally, does anyone have any suggestions on moisturizers for my nape. That area always gets dry and tangled, no matter what I use on it. My texture is thicker, coarser back there. Any suggestion on super moisturizers for my nape?

:) Really interesting.... I have the same problem.....although I've been using surge 14 for the past six weeks and my edges have grown a litte...I'm just starting on the MTG.......I wonder if rosemary oil and massages would help..? I may as well start that also:) :)

Daily massages from cowashes and castor oil/wgo have helped my edges grow in slowly but surely. The hairline has been damaged for so long that its in shock so its going to take a while.

I had my hair braided ONCE, after a long rest from braids, and the braider pulled all my edges out, MTG for abt a month grew them back in, now you cant pay me to put any stress on my precious edges.

Try emu oil. It's supposed to awaken hair follicles.

What are you still doing for them to continue to worsen.

You're not using weaves, extensions, braids are you???

Stress those areas as little as possible. Seriously I wouldn't even bun.

I have the same problem. My front edges are very fine and fragile and back edges get very dry and hard and tangled. Needless to say they both broke off to about 1 inch long. What's helped me tremdously is at night I use a good deep conditioner as a leave in that I know my hair loves. I just use it on these area and it makes my hair so soft! I make sure that the area never has a chance to get dry b/c that is when it breaks off.

I also make sure that I use my scarf everynight to protect my delicate front edges..

I agree with the massaging. That can stimulate blood flow and help the hair grow. Also, are you doing any protective styling, and making sure these areas are moisturized constantly?

Dont worry, I have the same problem as you do, so I am trying to baby my hair as much as possible. Your hair will grow back in time, just give it extra TLC

maybe you are pulling your hair too tight, so you're losing the growth from the MTG as fast as it comes in. There has to be a reason that hair growth is stagnant but the rest of your hair is 'normal'.

I thinkg I am going throught the same thing as you, with thin edges and the nape area. The only thing i can think of that makes these areas so short and/or thin is b/c they are the furthest away from the ponytail holder and take the most of the tension. Also I constantly scratch the nape of my neck. I don't think I have a rash back there or anything, maybe just a habit. I need to stop b/c i know that scalp damage can hinder the growth.

I do bun my hair most of the time but the bun is really loose. I make sure there is no tension. I've been sleeping w/a bonnet these past two months and using a satin pillowcase for the last 3-4 months.

Years ago I would wear ponytails often and nothing ever happend to my hairline. I've tried added rosemary oil to an oil mixture but it gave me red bumps on my scalp. I'm just at a loss. It's frustrating because my hair is almost brastrap but I can't get my hairline back to what it was.
