That's actually a smart question, it's so much more difficult. My sister measures her hair every month...I don't do anything at all and I have the feeling that my hair is NOT growing anymore.

see when i was on MSM i saw my hair growing and i saw two differnet texture in my hair (the new growth had waves) but I havtn taken MSM for a while... so i'm not sure how to checkit

You just have to measure it with a ruler monthly. As your hair isn't chemically altered on a regular basis you wont have a point of reference. With the MSM you did because it changed the texture slightly and so you could use that.

The problem with measuring monthly root to tip is you wont know how much it's grown really because you could lose alot to breakage. If that happens your hair could stay the same inch length but really have grown an inch but broken off at the ends an inch.

Aw, I see! thank you somuch! :) I'm thinking about lightly texturize it (5 mins) not sure still debating on it, also my hair is in braids and ive cut off allmy blench and relaxed hair so I'm not sure if id break.. plus i do the whole Protain treatment and stuff

I guess you could texturise it. I'm not a fan of it on short hair personally because I imagine it to be so much more work than me gettin up slapping some moisturiser on it and popping on a headband. It depends how you wear your hair daily.

If you've just cut off all the relaxed and damaged bits why do you want to texturise? or was that your plan all along???

Oh I've always loved those natural curls on some hispic girl (looks almost like 3c?i believe, which is simaler to my hair but just not as silky) I WANT to stay natrual because my hair has kinky curls and im quiet frankly in love with my texture but i want length! lol I dont want to be 30 and still trying get waist length (my hair grows 1/8 an inch but i revampt my deit and vitmans and stuff to suit my diet) and now its growing faster..

So I'm planing on textureizing it once i hit my goal!

and ya it was my plan all along to textuzier it once im down growth out my hair

You know your hair will grow regardless. You'll get to waistlength either way but you just wont see the length all the time if your hairs natural. Be careful with texturising tho, I remember MsPortugal really wanted something similar but once she was texturised it didn't look how she imagined and she was a bit disappointed, I think she made it straighter after that.

Are you sure it's only an 1/8 of an inch a month? That sounds quite small. I get 1/2 an inch and I feel like I'm gettin nowhere compared to others on the boards. What is your goal?

Praying and hopeing for 20 inchs over next two years but realistly I know id probably only reach around 15 inchs because my hair somtimes grows quickly 3/4- inch a month or slow as dirt like 1/8 a month.. Ive been experimently with my growth alot! :) In augest I went on a strict high protain deit with lots of joggin/runnin along with vitmans and MTG and got in inch of growth. Then I took a break and didn't do anything and let my hair grow out "naturaly" (no vitmans not joggin, not a thing) and it grew 1/8 an inch that month. I also tried differnet vitmans (i have like 10 bottles of vitmans in my forkit picture) and I elimated some then added some and bascily was having fun with testing out what works and what doesn't work for me. I stoped my slica because i felt my heart skip and i was like nope gone.. but now im down to b50/EP/Botion /multi/ flexseed and going to put MSM back in the mix also (helping my skin and nails and I want that more then growth) just looking for the right one kind of flakes...

My goal is eaither to texturize it or relax it but I don't know which one I'll want im just going to enjoy my natural hair for right now and once i get to my goal length strechted Ill figure out from there

Sounds like a great plan. Wishing you loads of luck!

Thank you! :) I really cant say what I'm doing with my hair I just know those are my ideas for my hair because I may have a REALLY hard time giving up my natural hair because I love playing it when its not in braids in stuff.. I'm like a little kid..
