Hi everyone:) ,

I have been lurking for about 1 month. I just had to join. My hair is a bit past my shoulders. I just cut about 2 inches off. Its about 5 inches away from my bra strap. I never really had a regimen. I would wash my hair with what ever i had bought. I am a product junkie. I am always trying something new. My hair has always had some length to it. But it always got to that point where it would just freeze kinda of. I wanted to cut it all off and keep it short, but hubby aint having no parts of that.

A bit over 4 years ago i cut it all off to go natural. After 2 years i was having big issues trying to tame my frizz. I have type 3 something hair. Not sure if its A,B,or C. So i gave in and relaxed it. I use Just for Me every 4-6 months. If i had known some of what i have learn over the past month from lurking here and other sites i would have never relaxed my hair again. :( I think i am going to try to let it grow out and trim it as i go to cut the relaxed part out.

I have seen some posts about MTG and vitamins that help your hair grow faster. I am really interested in getting to know more about that. I want to get my hair to grow as fast as possible to get all this relaxed hair out. I have been wearing my hair in a bun lately and i just started Co washing 2 weeks ago. So far i see less shedding. I am testing out different moisturizers right now. I haven't found anything to make me go WOW just yet. Any suggestions????? Sorry for the long post. I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome, Sweetie Pie!!! Well, it seems as though you've done a little research/lurking:grin: and are headed in the right direction. Pretty much it's trial and error...and it can get a little expensive until you "find what you're lloking for"...but check the 2006 Hits and Misses Thread...has some RAVE reviews....and try the MTG..it's a social sacrifice:lachen: , but I love it!!!!
Hope this helps!

Welcome!!! Try doing a search for the things you are interested in. If you search for mtg you'll find every post relating to that topic, and then some. Try searching things like vitamins, biotin, msm, cysteine.

Talk about expensive. I dont know how much money i have spent in the past 3 weeks on trying out products. I have some i haven't tried yet. I'll have to check out that hit and miss thread. Oh i dont go out much i am a sahm for the time being. If i go out to the store i really wont care what people think about the smell of my hair. If they are even close enough to smell it. Now hubby on the other hand, i wonder if he'd like the smell. He has some stank stuff he uses on his head and some weird smelling oils and soaps so i'll just tell him its pay back for subjecting me to all his funky products. :lachen:

Thanks. I'll have to do a few searches. I dont want to post a question about something someone else already posted about.

Maybe this is why WE don't have kids!!!
I put it in an applicator bottle....co-wash, and massage it in at night (1 oz mixes w/ 5 gtts lemongrass and 5 gtts of peppermint). 1 oz lasts me 2 applications....throw in some Sheabutter, leave in ..what ever makes my boat float...twist it into a loose chignon or bun...slap on the plastic cap....and I'm SEXY FOR THE NIGHT!!!!!
Actually, I have 2 step kids....23 and 24, and 2 step grandkids....I think that's PLENTY for me...I'm not trying to be a mom!!!!

Oh, and take off your jewelry b4 using MTG...gold silver...doesn't matter..it'll jack up ALL jewelry...mad b/c now I have to scrub my wedding ring w/ metal polish to get that nasty tinge off of it!

I need to order some tonight. I have to go and find the link i saw on here for it. I just want to get the sample sized bottle to see if i can handle the funk. How often do you use it? So you have to use a plastic cap with it? I am not trying to get it on anything. :lachen: :lachen: Sexy for the night huh?:lachen: :lachen: My hubby would be like ok its was bad enough with the satin scarves now and plastic cap. :lachen: :lachen:

Welcome. I know what you mean. I bought some jojoba oil today, a new bun, last week it was hair vitamins, amla oil, and supplements. I have my MTG, but won't start on it until next week. I have someplace to be, and don't want to be there with smelly hair. :) I'm new to posting, and MTG. I will start testing things to mix with it to cut the smell. :)

It's not stinky like you think...more like ol smoked bacon that you pulled out of the greasy garbage and a hint of sulfur...not that bad..but it is VERY noticeable..
