Hello, I am a new member and have been looking over this sight for sometime and I think its really been so interesting and helpful to me. I have a question about Ponytails. My daughter wears ponytails and has permed hair. What is the best way to maintain healthy hair for this type of style, and what would you recommend for healthy ends?

Hi Freckles, wanted to say, welcome to the board!!!

I sometimes use the black rubberbands (that come in a pack of 100 for about a dollar at Sally's), these bands do not have any metal, just all rubber. I put them on carefully and when it time to take them out, I stretch the band away from my hair and then snip it. I got that tip from someone on the board and it does help a lot!!!

As with any style that I have the ends out, I use some oil and sometimes a bit of hairdressing to make sure that they don't dry out.

Hope this helps! Again, welcome aboard!

Yeah I LOVE those little rubber bands. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Welcome, there are those hair hosiery "no breakage" ponytail holders, they come in different widths and sizes.
