New NTM product I saw today

I was goofing off in Walgreens earlier today and noticed that there was a new Neutrogena product that seems to be taking place over the anti frizz creme. I think it was a called a 'reconstructor' or 'restructuring masque'?
It came in the same tube as the anti frizz cream but the frizz cream was no where in sight. I wish I could remember the ingredients but I don't recall there being any protein in it and I didn't have enough time to compare it to the dc in the jar.
So has anyone else seen this or tried it? (And for those who like the anti frizz cream, keep an eye out to make sure they don't discontinue it since a couple items in the NTM line have been axed off without warning but are still on the Neutrogena site.)

I'm not sure, but I think the anti frizz cream in the tube is since I saw the new product in it's place. The leave in is still going strong though! For now at least.

Awesome! That's the one.... I believe wheat protein is a moisturizing protein right? Either way it's not a hardcore one like what I thought might be in the product. Anyway, I want to buy it soon and I'll report back my opinion.

That's odd because the leave-in is on clearance for 50% off (being discontinued) at Giant Food Stores in my area as of yesterday. They may be making way for the new product, but hopefully Neutrogena is not discontinuing the leave-in since so many people love it.

I thought wheat helps the hair recieve moisture. I could be wrong but i will try this also when i see it. They just need to back a bigger jar of that there mask.

50% off you say. I will be checking out both gaints around my way. One of them should have some. I need to restock anyway. I just picked up 2 jars of there mask today. I plan to make a spray leave in for my hair.

Thanks Honeydew.

Yep. I don't even use it and still wanted to get some.

50% off is not bad!

They're discontinuing the leave in? I was under the impression they were replacing the anti frizz cream with the new treatment since I noticed at walgreens and target the anti frizz cream had been replaced..... I could be wrong though, Neutrogena's one of the brands that regularly replace/ discontinue products without warning.

I don't get the feeling they are discontinuing it. I think just those two store are. I went to a totally different Giant yesterday and they did not have it on clearance.

When I went to Giant to re-up on the leave-in there was NONE
There wasnt any NTM products anymore when there use to be so I think that Giant may not carry NTM products anymore. I went to Rite Aid and got my leave-in and it was full price.
I pray they don't discontinue the leave-in thats my staple daily moisturizer

Yeah a sign that something might be getting discontinued is when a few stores stop carrying the product. So has anyone tried the Pure Strength yet? I really want to know what it's like compared to the mask.

Okay, I dunno if anyone else has tried this yet but I tried it for the first time yesterday. I was kinda irked since I got the last tube but it had been opened and had leaked into the cap a little. Anyways, I had prepooed with the discontinued NTM oil treatment mixed with honey and glycerine and my hair honestly didn't feel so great. I sit under the dryer for about ten minutes and wash out with NTM Creme Lather and right away I notice that my hair's really soft and moist feeling, I do a second lather out of habit and my hair still feels decent.
On to the actual Pure Strength! I squeezed just a little out of the tube and it spread well and made my hair softer and more slippery on contact. The stuff is pretty concentrated so not alot is needed as with the other NTM products. This stuff is good to the point that I didn't need to add porosity control like I do to most dc's I use. So today my hair is still soft despite a rollerset gone wrong. Technically, the jury is still out and I haven't used the mask in years so I don't know how they compare... So far, so good though!

ETA- For those who want me to get straight to the point here's how it went. Keep in mind I only used the NTM line (and honey) to prepoo, wash, and deep condition.
Pros:
- It really moisturized my hair on contact
-Gave really nice slip right away
-It's quite concentrated like the rest of the line so the tube is worth it
-Smells good
- IMO it's like a ultra low protein version of ORS Paks ( There is wheat protein but that's a moisturizing protein)
Cons:
-None so far, I dunno how it will work when I'm a couple moths post though I can picture it doing nice things

For best results, apply to damp hair. Dispense a nickel-sized amount into palms, and then spread between hands to form a thin layer. Use fingers to gently work cream downward through hair, concentrating on ends and outer layers. Do not rinse. Style as usual.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture® Pure Strength Conditioning Treatment actually reverses damage by strengthening all three layers of each hair strand from the inside out. Weakened hair suffers in two key ways: 1) lack of moisture causes the hair shaft sheath to break more easily, and 2) damaged hair has 600% more holes than healthy hair causing it to look unhealthy.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture® Pure Strength Conditioning Treatment features a gentle, yet concentrated-professional level treatment filled with naturally derived extracts, such as olive, meadowfoam and sweet almond, to penetrate deep into the strand to help repair it at the core. And, wheat proteins fill in the tiny holes in the cuticle to seal in moisture and reinforce strands against future damage. Transform weak, brittle, or extra-dry hair into stronger, more resilient hair with this gentle, yet concentrated professional level treatment today.

Apply to just washed, wet hair. Leave on for one minute and rinse thoroughly. Use daily or as often as needed.

jenniferohjenny- I don't think Neutrogena's site is quite up to date since there's still a couple NTM items that were disc. long ago still on there. But you may be right and the anti frizz creme isn't being discontinued, we'll just have to keep a look out. Now if they discontinued the leave in that would be almost like the CON revolt!

ETA: Just looked at the Neutrogena website again, they only have small pics of the discontinued items with the current ones. There's no individual pages for each disc. product. Still though, maybe I'll email them to get the facts straight.

I have two bottle in my room now. (TRIPLE MOISTURE PURE STRENGTH)Its an excellent moisturizer I use it on my co wash days. Its not really new.

I got hooked on it 4 years ago, I damage my hair really bad and was in desperate need for a product for my relaxed damaged hair. Then it appeared. I was skeptical and ignorant at the time, cause I didn't think it was for my type of hair, so I used it and very glad that I did:grin:. My hair was at a point where my hairdresser was like are you sure you want to save this I think you need to cut it and start over. At the time my hair was SL. I went back to her and she was like I don't know what you did, but I can work with this now. I told her what I used and she said she was going to try it out.

Back then it was in a taller slimmer tube, but I believe its the same amount. No lie you all, my hair was damaged, I mean, I was going to the pool, relaxing, fried, dried, club hair, and back then I didn't know anything about cowash and washing my hair once a week:wallbash:. It fixed all of it, and I didn't have to cut my hair, it true about the once time use, afterwards I saw a big improvement. Lets say I kept my hair, and added so more to it. I won both ways.

Yall don't sleep on the product, its been around for a while.

Oh, dear God, don't let them discontinue the leave-in!

That's pretty weird that you've had it for years and it just popped up around my area recently. Makes me wonder if Neutrogena tests regions to see if a product sells. I think awhile back I read about Neutrogena supposedly coming out with a clarifying shampoo that was also 'moisturizing', dunno how that works or is possible but I never saw such a thing.
Queen V- I don't think they're disc. the leave in, I still see them all over. Sunsilk on the other hand I'm suspicious about, but that's on another thread I made.
