Hello Ladies,

I'm a newbie and I have two questions. Please forgive me if the information I'm asking for is posted somewhere.

1) What is co washing?
2) What is texlaxing?

Thank you!

Hey! I just joined last month, and all these dang terms can be confusing!!! So here's the simple meaning:

Co-washing is washing your hair, but only with conditioner instead of shampoo. Shampoo can be very drying to your hair, so the ladies just lather up with conditioner, and then they condition after. It's double the moisture.

Texlaxing is like relaxing the hair-but only partially. You put the relaxer on, but only leave it on for a small amount of time, it leaves the hair looking very texturized, for the wash-n-go's, but also straight enough to wear straight. It's less damaging than relaxing bone-straight.

Hope those explanations help.

Thanks Wantlonghair_1988. By the way, I've seen some of your previous posts...I graduated from Hampton University...the REAL HU! LOL!
