Hey ya'll its supergurl478 (gonna change that name...lol). Anyways, I've been lurking for abt 2 yrs and finally decided it's time to join the LHCF family esp since i've been progressing with my hair health and growth. I started my hhj fall 2008. My last relaxer was in july 2008 and by august i put my hair in braids, as i always do when school starts. In sept 2008 i was googling black hair care and i kept seeing mentions of lhch, so i googled it, came here and was immediately fascinated my all of you women with beautiful hair. I always knew black hair could grow, we just needed the right info.
I usually stretched my relaxers by wearing braids and i had braids when i first discovered this site. when i saw some of yall going natural and the techniques used to care for natural hair, a light bulb came to me like DUH!! It all makes sense. i transitioned for a yr and BC on july 31 2009. I wore braids bcuz i wasnt comfortable with my hair yet but now love my hair even more and im twisting for the summer (bcuz thats all i know how to do
)
So now on to the goodies
I bought the Babyliss pro TT 1 1/2 steam straighter and i love it!! i think its better then my FHI. They come with "teeth" not like the maxiglide, on the plates. The teeth arent nothing serious, still have to do the comb chase method but it does help. i used it with the steam feature and my hair was pretty straight for like a week. I think it would have stayed straight longer if I had used more heat, but it was my first time but next time i know to crank up the heat. see pics below for results

Ok, so all the other pics i took in the bathroom had my undergarments hanging in the background...not cool. so when i flat iron my hair again, I'll do another review with pictures.
Now, these are the 2-strand twist i did today:
And below is my hair at the beach yesterday. i used a band to pull it back a little.
So there you have it folks. Enjoy and i'll appreciate some feedbacks, comments, questions, whatever.
ETA: This is what I get for using my iphone to take pics smh
