(I tried the search- it timed out and could not find a good informative thread)

I have read on here that putting oil in the relaxer slows the processing time. Is this true?

What kind of oil do you use?

How much oil do you put in?

Any additional advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Andrea

I put 3 tblspns of oil in my no lye relaxers..I am now going to be using lye on my next application in December.

But I would use 2 tblspns of EVOO and 1 tblespn of sweet almond oil directly into the creme/activator relaxer mix. I don't know if it slowed the process down for me though. Hopefully other people will come into this thread with their experiences.
