I wonder if it's because I sleep on one side? When I'm sleep, I'm KNOCKED OUT  so I've never noticed. I'm going to replace my pillow cases with satin. Anybody have the same problem? Was it from sleeping on one side or wearing some type of headwear? What did you do? Also, where in the world do I get satin pillow cases!?!?!?!

what type of headwear do you wear to bead? and how are you putting up your hair? i stopped wrapping all to one side because I've found that it has caused my left side to thin. i now cross-wrap, and while the results aren't as smooth in the morning, it is helping me to gradually grow that side back out. i think that the constant wrapping against your hair's natural hair stream over time will cause it to cut out, especially if you also sleep on that side. i've seen satin pillow cases at sallys before.

I created a thread about this not too long ago...and i STILL have not found a logical explanation for this lol. I dont wrap, i sleep on that side the LEAST.....i dunno

So i cant really add anything useful except to say that i feel your pain!

LOL thank God someone does! I actually rarely wear head stuff. I tie with a satin scarf at night that usually ends up on the floor by morning. When I do wear something, it's a headband but that's once every blue moon. Thanks ladies

I am like that. It is my left side, which is less dominant on me all over. So I equate it to that. That side has tighter curls, too. So I have to treat it differently. It is harder dealing with that side when stretching, as well. At 5 weeks, my right side is good to go, but the left side is breaking and needs more moisture.

I don't know if it's shorter...I think it's the same length but it's definately thinner but it's the side i sleep on...ALWAYS. I do not ever sleep on the other side (left). My right side is considerably thicker. But I think I'm the only one that notices cause when I ask my Dad he gave me this funny look:lachen:
