I've been really exhausted and lazy lately, so I opted out of rinsing out my DC Friday night. (Nexxus Humectress). I baggyed for the whole weekend just about, and when I rinsed Sunday afternoon my hair was soooo soft! Naked! All I did was rinse out the conditioner...I didnt put anything in my hair, and it was sooo soft! My hair has never been this soft before! So, should I do that more often? Today is Tuesday, and my hair isnt as soft as it was Sunday, so is this my hair telling me "I NEED MOISTURE!!"...or was my hair too soft? It wasnt mushy, and it didnt break at all(my hair never breaks:grin:).Or, maybe I have porosity issues? I'm so confused, but I want my hair to be that soft all the time:wallbash: So, ladies, what should I do?

My regimen? Lets see...
  • wash with CON green label once a week or whenever I have build up
  • co wash every 3 to 4 days with Hello Hydration
  • DC every week with Nexxus Humectress or Motions CPR
  • Moisturize daily with Mane n Tail
  • Style with IC Fantasia (usually everyday, but I want to give my hair a break so I only do my edges now)
  • that's it!! I only baggy when I'm being lazy.
I also have:
  • eco styler gel
  • shea butter
  • IC shine serum
  • Doo Gro Mega Thick Reconstructor
  • Tresseme Silk & Smooth conditioner
  • Lutrasilk Shea Butter & Mango
  • (I have more at home, I'm at school right now)
**I also use Aphogee products, but I've used them all up (I have more at home), and I don't have money to buy more right now**

You might want to try a moisturizer that does not have protein in it. I love mane and tail as a leave-in but I have very fine relaxed hair. I know others with thicker hair say the protein in it leaves their hair hard.

Humectress has no protein but is a pure moisturizer, so maybe change to a leave in that can add moisture, I like Herbal Essense Long Term relationship or hello hydration conditioner that can be used as a leave-in in small amounts and does not leave a build-up. That way you can actually have some conditioner in your hair at all times! It has really helped keep my hair soft.

Hope this helps and others chime in!

Only thing I would caution against is that when your hair is wet it's weakest, so something as minute as rubbing your head against the back of the car seat getting out of the car could cause more breakage. Other than that, if your hair likes it, listen to your hair. Sounds good!
