LD,
You are the ORS Hair Mayo Expert-lol...So I thought I would ask you a question. I tried it once when I washed my hair and left it on for 20 minutes-under the dryer. Even though I couldn't style my hair worth anything, I had almost no breakage that entire week and it did make my hair feel really nice. I am going to get my hair cornrowed (no extensions)Saturday and will wash it before I get to the braider. I thought about conditioning with the ORS-putting it right after I shampooed and letting her wash it out at the salon since she likes to braid hair mildly wet. I thought that if I left it on for an hour or so beforehand that I could get a good deep condition w/o sitting under the dryer. I do plan to wear my plastic cap though and just head to the braider with it on. I will be at week 4 post-relaxer and I am getting it braided to stretch out relaxer times. So what do you think about the ORS idea? Sorry for getting long-winded.

Hey Scorpio.

I wouldn't know about being an ORS hair mayo expert. It's just a conditioner I love that works very well for me. I think it's a good idea to get one last deep conditioning in on the day you plan to get your hair braided. I personally after a bit of experimenting prefer to DC with the ORS without heat. The same for when I use the Motions CPR too. The longer I leave either product in the better it is for my hair after I wash it out. You may want to go longer than an hour, I don't see it will do any harm, but and hour is a good enough length of time for a DC. Good Luck. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
