Pics of braiding before sew-in?

I'm going to a braid shop to get my hair braided for a self sew-in because I can't braid my cornrows tight enough to sustain a sew-in. Anywoo, the young ladies that usually braid my hair don't quite understand what I'm trying to achieve. I simply want to leave some hair out around the front, back and sides and have about 8 horizontal(?) rows (from ear to ear). I'm looking for a pic online but can't seem to find one. Any help?

Dang! I just deleated a bookmark I had with all types of sewin patterns.
