please help me(hair type)

hi ladies. i know some of you may be tired of seeing hair type questions but please help me i think i'm a mixture of both 4a and 4b but i'm not certain and lately i've been struggling with my hair products not working at all. I feel like my hair hates both water and oil based moisturizers. I just think it will be much easier if i knew exactly what my hair type is. thanks! below are pics of my new growth taken from my fotki.

I'm thinking 4a. But it's hard to tell because it's smoothed down. The best way to see your hair type is on unstretched or smoothed hair. I don't think we're seeing your true texture in your photos.

It is really hard to accurately hair type someone who is transitioning. To better type the hair, it needs to be un-manipulated and in its natural state without any products; preferably when you become fully natural or have several inches of new growth.

The best I can say is that it looks like your definitely in the 4 range.
