Okay Ladies,

All this talk about protective styles has me thinking of all the protective styles I can try this winter. One of those styles talked about a lot on this site is wigs...

...so...I think it would be lots of fun for any ladies wearing wigs (lace-front, half, full) to post pictures of your 'do. :yep: I would love to see the types of wigs you all ar styling!

(if you aren't wearing a wig, but you sport buns, post that, too - it another popular protective style on this site)... :grinwink:

Can't wait to ooh and aah at all of your beautiful pics! And remember:
:needpics:

Okay as a warning ignore any myspace/facebookish pictures.:lachen:my friends & i are a lil special 2 say the least as well.

The 1st one is my most recent. The 2nd one was my 2nd wig ever and had hints of purple in it but I don't think you can tell. The last three is my only lace front. *sorry about the last 2 pix. my friends decided 2 hav a random photo shoot in DC one day in December*

I like to switch up. They are all pretty much the same length so no one really seems to notice. I think I will wear the lacefront a little more because its heavier and will b lik wearing a hat. lol it keeps my head warm

These are more shots of pretty much the same wigs. They arent all the best because honestly i had no idea how to take care of them. I'm better @ it now though thank god. There were some days they looked so matted @ the ends I'd jus ended up putting it in a bun or slapping on a hat:nono:

Good morning ladies!! Here's a pic of my wig. I just took it this morning at work. I've been wearing this style for a while, at least 4 or so months. It's my tried and true wig. I have others that I need to wear since I bought them, but then again if anyone wants a brand new Bali girl let me know. PM if you're interested.

Have a great day ladies!

Faux bun made with $2 Kanekalon hair. It's sloppy because I was in a hurry and didn't have anything else to do with my hair.

I love this bun, it has been my bun of choice for the last two months. I at times will add a flower or chinesse stick to make it look different but it is so easy to do. I need to get more hair as I went black this weekend so I need black hair the same as yours.

Here's the wig I bought to wear with my Halloween costume:

(I call her Nurse Barbie) :giggle:

(that's a little bit of my hair out in the front--slight color difference)

Nurse Barbie was only $29.99 at the local BSS! Had to snatch her up!

 You ladies rock! These pics so far are pretty awesome!

Letta - I love your wig looks! Very pretty...

Reecie - that bun is SO HOTT!!! :yep:

Whitedaisez - that style really fits your face...

DivaDava - I really like the curled look of your wig!

DesiRae - very professional bun - this is my favorite protective style I must say... :grinwink:

Barbie - LOVE the "Nurse Barbie" wig. :giggle: You should keep it even after Halloween. Is it lacefront?

Keep them coming, ladies! :coffee2:

I have another question...

For those ladies sporting wigs - do you braid your hair wet or dry underneath? Also, do you cover with a wig cap? How often do you take off the wig to either wash/condition/moisturize - once a week? twice? everyday?

(okay - that's more than one question!

Here is my wig. I wore this all month. I thought I'd be tired of it, but I can go through November with this on. I love this; so easy and I can condition my hair as much as I want underneath:

I love DesiRae's bun too! Very pretty :yep:

Nope, she's no lacefront, just a regular ol wiggy looking wig . I put her on my head about an inch back from my hairline so I could pull some of my own hair out to cover up her wiggy-ness. thanks!

I braid my hair dry and I use a wig cap. I moisturize and seal my braids underneath daily. I also cowash a couple of times a week as well. Every Saturday I cowash, DC, let mu hair air dry and rebraid for the week. I am 31 weeks post relaxer now, so I think I will wash and DC twice a week now.hth!

Ohh, thanks for the pic of Coconut girl! I had been thinking of getting that one, but you know how the pics on websites are so often totally different from what the wig REALLY looks like.... Now I know what it actually looks like

beans4reezy - coconut girl is FIAH!! Short hair also looks so cute on you...

sapphire chic - its still a nice looking bun...messy buns are in! ;-)

chelleypie810 - I KNOW!!!!

Kellum - you can rock ANY length!

BklynHeart - very classy look!!

Thank you ladies, again, for sharing - I'm getting re-inspired to keep my hair covered, bunned, and protected!

So, is a wig cap damaging at all? Should I wear something satin or lace underneath, or will that just slip off?

My winter styles are half wigs or synthetic lace front wigs or my "anti-bun" (see below).

The latest wig that I am rocking is Vanessa and it is a human hair LF by Sensationnel, just like Barbie I leave a little of my own hairline out.

I don't bun anymore, because I think the middle back of my head was breaking off due to buns, I do an anti bun now, that's the name I call it lol. I do a french braid with some yaki braiding hair, I don't braid it all the way down, I twist it up and just clip it with a rubberized clip. It's so easy and cute, and no pulling, tugging or tension. My hair is growing back nicely too.

I believe this is Lyon Girl by Freetress. It was too long so I cut it a little.

Don't remember what this is called....sorry! The pics are huge, I know. My bad. I couldn't resize them. I just bought coconut girl today so I'll post those shortly.
