I know protein treatments are to be used once a month but how much can reconstructors(protein w/o following moisture) be used? And while we're at it what are some of the best recontructors you've used and what did it do for you?

i thought protein treatments were reconstructors. i could be wrong though. i use sebastian 2+1 or lanza dry hair reconstructor.

i use nutress protein pac for my protein treatments. i hear fantasia ic have some really good reconstructors.

I thought they were the same also. My "hardcore" protein treatment is Joico K-Pak. My mild protein treatment is Motions Silk Protein & my gentle protein treatment is Deep Brilliance reconstructor.

Gotta love that K-pak. I'm with Supergirl on that one...

Yep, protein treatments and reconstructors are the same thing; they just differ in strength. One way of knowing for sure is to read the directions; heavy-duty conditioners will usually direct you to rinse for at least a full minute to completely remove all traces of the conditioner. My 'light' protein conditioner of choice is Nexxus Keraphix, and my hard core conditioner is Aubreys GPB.

Never tried K-pak, but I've been tempted.

Supergirl, who makes Deep Brilliance?

The Farouk company makes Deep Brilliance products.
