Hi all!!:hiya:
I wanted to go ahead and post my LHCF 2 year anniversary pictures:grin:. Wow how time has flown! I have always been a fan of texlaxing/ stretching but did not know that such a term existed until LHCF. I would even wear braid-outs but only b/c I thought they were cute. Not b/c I knew anything about PS:look:. Anyway, Like so many other women, I could not understand why the MBL hair I had as a child would not grow past SL. I would make it to between SL and APL and have major breakage or meet a SHS. At one point I concluded I must've been getting old and maybe for me that meant shorter hair:ohwell:. Then in December of 2008 my hair reached its lowest point. I had major damage from heat and dye. It was crunchy and brittle. I could not remove a shirt, brush, or even simply turn my head w/o broken pieces of hair being everywhere. At one point my aunt (who was visiting from Dallas) blurted out, "What happened to you? You used to have such pretty hair:cry:." That was the final straw. I started googling to see if I could find a product that would 'fix' my hair issues:rolleyes:. That's when I found LHCF. I immediately tried CWing and purchased many of the products others said helped them. I thought CWing was a little crazy:nuts: but knew I had nothing to lose. Plus seeing all of the gorgeous heads of hair on here gave me hope that one day I could have hair like I did in childhood again or better.:yep: I lurked for about 6 months then I couldn't take it anymore (thanks CF:lol:). I subbed in June of 2009. So, my regimen is simple. I am a CWer, PSer, and make sure my health is not neglected. That's it:yep:.
Some of my staple products are:
DCs-
Joico K-Pak reconstructor & Moisture recovery treatment balm
ORS deep penetrating conditioner
Cheapie CW-
V05 strawberries 'n cream
HE HH
Clarifying poo-
Nutrogena anti-residue shampoo
Chelating poo-
Nexxus Aloe Rid
Sulfate free poo-
Suave
Protein-
Aphogee 2-step
Lv-ins-
homemade protein tx
Aphogee green tea
homemade lv-in
Oils-
EVO, Castor, Walnut, Coconut, Jojoba, and Grapeseed.

Here's how I use them-

I CW 1-2 times a week.
DC a minimum of once weekly (More in colder months) b/c I reward myself for reaching hair goals by getting subtle highlights:giggle:.
I always use lv-ins and seal my ends.
I use protein whenever my hair tells me it needs it.
Apply a bentonite clay mask on occasion to detoxify.
I incorporate other natural things like organic honey, avocado, rosemary EO, thyme EO, cedarwood EO, etc.
I have been using Mega-tek since the beginning of the year.
I PS about 95% of the time (Twists and braids). To keep it fresh I add lots of hair toys(flowers, decorative hair pins, scarves, banana clips, you name it).
I tried to upload a pic from each category- EL, SL, CBL, APL, BSB, and finally scraping BSL today:drunk:!! I'll update my album with some of the PS I wear tomorrow.:yep: Thanks to all of my LHCF sisters and especially to my God for hearing me when I asked for help with my pitiful, crunchy hair!
Ok, I guess that's it... on to the pictures:lol:.

Great progress OP.....but I had to laugh at the fact that you blocked out your own face and left the other people's face exposed in the pictures. :giggle:

Yep:giggle:.
I forgot to say (tryna remember everything we like to know about reggies around here) that I started out relaxed, decided to texlax, then finally to transition. I am at the end of my transition and have about an inch of relaxed hair left. I decided to transition slowly as I learned how to take care of my hair. I have had 2 major setbacks (TT [lost about 1/2" hair on ends] and bald spots in my crown due to mourning [ R.I.P. DGS#2]).

Thanks ladies. I keep remembering all of the 'unofficial LHCF rules' of what to post during an update etc. I am mostly 4a with 3c around my nape and ears:perplexed(go figure). Oh, and I have layers and I'm keepin' em too. No blunt cuts for me.:lachen:
@hillytmj,
I love your hat. I said I was gonna buy a nice western hat like that. I saw some cute ones last weekend. I like them on flat ironed hair:yep:.

Wow, you have done a great job! Your hair looks great! Do you mix something w/ the Megatek to keep from shedding?

Beautiful hair! I also love your Not Of This World purple shirt! Love c28! :)

Congrats Prudent! Keep it up.

BTW it's great to put your face with your profile name - sort of. :) Every time I see your name I think of the man with the sword. :)
