Hi Ladies!

Do any of you notice a smell when using cocnut oil on dry hair? I've been using it as a pre-poo, but I worry that as it's food based, it will start to smell rancid after three or four days.

Thanks!
Aileen

I have the same coconut oil for a year now and I haven't noticed any smells at all. I use the 100% Coconut oil (the one for cooking). I use my coconut oil in my Avocado & Banana Mask pre-poo treatment. :lick:

OH NO YOU DIDN'T! Throwin out proper nouns and not even providing us with the recipes. That ain't right:wallbash:

I know the odor you are talking about. I went to an indian store to buy coconut oil. When I got home and put it in my hair there was weird stank odor surrounding me. My friend told me it was because it was spoiled from sitting in the store for years. So normally you should have that smell at all now that I get my coconut oil else where I haven't noticed any funny odors.

I know that happened to me when I used the indian coconut oil bur not withthe Spectrum brand
