Hi ! Like I said in another thread, it's been ages since my last visit on LHCF. Since then, I treated my hair really badly. So I decided to use a quick weave to help it grow. Here is my hair in a quick weave :

But I noticed my hairline is breaking off very badly =O

My hair is at neck lenght & VERY DAMAGED. Should I let my quick weave on my head ? So how to take care properly of my hair with this QW ?

And second, should I cut my hair ONCE AGAIN and forget the QW thing ?
I'm very confused right now on what to do, because y'all know that once get from long to short, it feels really uneasy to re-put the quick weave ! So it's a decision I have to make on this one :perplexed

I have always been informed that you never put weave (sew/braid/twist) in damaged hair - i would suggest cornrow your own hair and wig it up if you feel uncomfortable with your own length

HTH :)

Is that the quick weave half wig type? or is it a sew in because I agree, don't put weaves in damaged hair.

I wouldn't suggest getting a traditional quick weave where you glue the weave onto your hair. This won't solve your problem and may just exacerbate it more. How about making a quick weave wig that you can put on and take off so that you can take care of your hair underneath. I have found some really great tutorials on youtube. Just do a search for quick weave wig on you tube.

I second this suggestion. I've been doing this now for 6 weeks and my hair has progressed nicely. Just be careful of your edges. I cut a long piece of satin to wrap around my edges before I put on the wig cap. This cuts down on the friction and elastic breaking off the hair. Take care and HTHs

Yes this is a half wig, not a weave.
And actually, this is the type of quick weave you're talking about that I'm wearing >.<
But I'm afraid if I put a satin wrap around my edge, the half wig will fall out.

The half wig in itself is not really damaging. Except for the edge.
But I wonder if cutting all my hair off is better than having fake hair. Yes, because I can't bear having fake hair.
Taking a wig at night is so HEATBREAKING !
