How can you refresh the scalp without washing it? I only want to wash my crochet braids once (at the 2 week mark) and take them out at the 4 week mark but I can't go around with funky hair:/

Here are my ideas please let me know if I am way off base or you have some good ideas:

1. Dry shampoo but I am clueless of which one to get or even if it would be worth it.

2. Witch Hazel in a spray bottle using a washcloth. Never did this before either.

Aside from daily braid spray, I don't usually do anything to my scalp (don't judge me) but I rub fruity smelling V05 on the weave hair.

You could try putting 75% water, 20% witch hazel and 5% essential oils (like peppermint, lavender and a fruity oil) into a squirt bottle or nozzle bottle and applying it directly on your scalp.

A youtuber (chocolatetresses I think) has a video on this. She used witch hazel to clean her scalp.

Personally, I liked being able to wash my hair while in crochet braids and still have a sleek style.
