I've been using a no-lye relaxer forever now and I'm switching back to lye. I remember reading somewhere that some people mix conditioner with their lye relaxer prior to applying it. Is that something usual for the ones who use a lye relaxer? I've just bought a tub of motions super, and I wnat to know whether I should use as is, or dilute it in conditioner.
Please Help!!!!!

I now mix Pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my relaxer! I use a no-lye relaxer and do my relaxers at home myself (I do them much better than the salon! I base my scalp good before hand, and follow with an Aphogee protein treatment under the dryer to rebuild the protein bonds that have been broken down by the relaxer, I neutralize well and I DO NOT over process!) But I've noticed with the Olive Oil it seems like my hair is softer after relaxing than it usually is, even with all the protective measures I take. I've never mixed conditioner in with a relaxer though - just pure extra virgin Olive Oil! Hope this helps! :-)
