i detangle on damp hair after i dc'ed with my fingers and go over it gently with my jumbo magic rake comb.

This is me Less is more for my hair.
I also finger detangle on damp hair (after adding my leave-ins), so I don't use extra conditioner for detangling purposes.

I am heavy handed and use the relaxer method too. I want every strand covered from root to tip. Probably not necessary but it works for me.

I've noticed with me, it depends on the size of the container. With my tub of Humecto, I scoop out a handfull or more. With my Joico moisture recovery balm, (I have the 16.9 oz)I do only two or three pumps. I wish it came in a bigger size.

I have tried the relaxer method it works well but lately I'm too lazy for all that. I just slap it in.

I apply until I feel it's covered appropriately. Some weeks it is more than others based on the moisture level of my hair. I allow my hair to gauge the amount use.

Co-washing - I go through twice so about an ounce each time.
