Ladies, I was just sitting here thinking about how every Saturday I spend about 6 to 7 hours washing and styling both me and my DD's hair. What a waste of the day! So I was thinking of Friday Nights. That way I can get a jump start on having fun outside of the house and have nice presentable hair for Sunday service. I am not married to this day, I mean if I get dirt in my hair or feel like I need to wash sooner- I most certainly will.
well I do it any day I feel like cause my and my dd have reggies that r super simple and quick. I could ahve both of our heads done in like 2hrs. Im bunning ans shes doing the crown and glory thing
Or I may only get one of those days in. Those are post work out days. I wear a bun anyways...so there isn't a huge time commitment...(since BKT
SO and I have been discussing ways to reduce "hair time" b/c he has MBL locs, that I maintain, and then there is my hair. The closer I get to re-entering the professional world the more I am going to want to go back to straightening via flat iron or roller set. We will see..
I do my own hair 3 to 4 times a week depending on my mood and whether or not I feel like wearing it up, however my twin daughters have mbl hair and its naturally curly 3a/b...it takes me 4 hours to do their hair so they are a Saturday morning MUST. Sometimes if I think about it I will have them wash Friday night I will moisturize and braid up to allow it to air dry. then on Saturday I will flat iron if they want it straight.
Well I cowash almost every work day morning. I wear a lot wash n gos so it doesn't take my that long to do my hair. I don't wash my hair with shampoo that often. Maybe once a month. Sunday's are usually my busiest because I will steam for an hour or so.
I usually cowash every morning, but I wash, DC and detangle every one or two weeks and usually on a Sunday. This is my day off and I see washing as pampering myself for a bit.
It also makes me feel prepared for the week somehow. Bring on Monday!
For now tuesdays, because I have swimming lessons on that day and need to wash the chlorine out.I might cowash again on Thursday or Friday in order to style my hair for the weekend.
when my hair is out its a 2day process...typically i like to pre-poo and wash friday night and DC overnight and rinse out in the morning...after that its just a WnG
I usually do my hair (cowash, DC, style) on a weekday (Tues-Thurs) because I usually work weekends. I like to wash it after working all weekend so usually on Tues then I like to wash it before going back to work on Fridays. I rarely do my hair on weekends even when I have off because I'm trying to fit a normal life into that time slot and hair is not that high a priority at that point. If I have a full week off I'll do my hair on a Monday and leave it for the week.
There is no rhyme or reason. A lot of the time it's on weekends, but it can also be any day of the week depending on my schedule and what's needed. I like to keep things simple and I don't do lengthy sessions. I can wash and condition in less than an hour. Then braid up and if I'm styling I hold that over till the next day.
I wash about twice a month. since my off days are random, I will wash and dc the night before my off day. I would love to dc overnight but I get bad headaches doing so.
I do Thursdays bcuz right now Im off on Fridays so that gives me the whole weekend to get my hair together! With my old schedule I did my hair on Friday nights and that normally carried over into Saturday mornings. Thursdays are much better!
I voted Thursdays or Sundays (usually at night) I wash and DC once a week though I've been going 2 weeks without, for some reason thursday night is usually better for me especially when its flatiron week.
Trying to get to my goal by Dec so right now in weaves till then so washing every 2 weeks on Thursdays
Most of the time my wash days are Saturday or Sunday. I usually do my DD hair on Saturdays and Sundays because I have to wash one day and then let it air dry overnight and braid it up on Sunday so it can be fresh for the school week. Me it depends on how I wear my hair. If I am wiggin' it then I may wash wed and sunday and then braid it up. If I rollerset then I will do it on Saturday night.
