Hi, ladies i did a rollerset the other night with the saran wrap and my new growth came out frizzy and nappy looking i still had to flat iron. what did i do wrong? :whyme:

You probably were probably under the dryer too long.

Next time try using the low setting if you feel you need to stay under there a prolonged periord of time

Like Aidenberry said, you may have stayed under the dryer to long causing your head to sweat which made your hair swell or poof up. Was you hair frizzy before you wrapped it? What products did you use before you wrapped?

That's the thing i didn't have that my newgrowth and when i finished i had a big poof. I don't think i was under the dryer long i think maybe 1 hour or 45 minutes i didn't really keep time. Before i wrapped it i put a little olive oil moisturizer on my hair and a little oil sheen i was thinking i didn't straighten my roots long enough i don't know.

Okay, if you were under the dryer for an hour with the saran wrap that is too long. Or maybe you removerd the rollers before your hair was 100% dry.

No no i let my hair dry for an hour and use the saran wrap for maybe 15 minutes. The funny thing was my hair was all the way dry.

i personally hate motions products but if the leave in left your hair soft: detangled: and smooth that you just might need to try again using more leave in: if not I recommend:
  • Lacio Lacio Leave In
  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave In
  • Giovanni Direct Leave In
  • Salerm 21 Leave In

I just ordered lacio leave in and salerm 21 leave in do you think i use both together will be to much i tried ntm i didn't like the it made my hair feel but my daughter hair came out soft and silky with it.

i don't think it will be too much: but u don't have to cover ur entire head w/ both leave ins cuz u'll just be wastin ur money: either or: i read on the board that Lacio and Salerm are the same

The saran wrap thing never worked for my hair and I had it done at a salon a few times. My hair would look more dry after the saran then when the rollers came out. Try it a couple more times and if you still have the same results it may not be a good technique for your hair.

Last night i did my daughter hair and hers came out great i did have to put more oil in it this morning her roots were straight and she had a lot of body now if i could only get my hair to look that good i'll be in business, but practice makes perfect.

That's how my hair turns ou too. It's like the shine just vanishes.

I thought i was just me i was reading another post and they said to use serum on each section maybe i'll give it another try this week not that i know how bad blow dryers can be on your hair.
