A few weeks I posted about my hair breaking due to stress. Well today I decided to cut it. I went from apl to neck length. I needed a fresh start, I'm sad though. It looks much healthier right now. I hope with some extra care it will grow back and look healthy as it once did.

Aww so sorry. I went through that a few years back. I did baby my hair, kept it moisturized and manipulated as little as possible and its been good ever since. You did the right thing by getting rid of the breakage it would have only made things worse.

I'm so sorry you had to cut your hair. But looking at your avatar, I know you will grow it back more luscious than before......

danibot, it will grow back. I know how you feel because I went from SL to TWA after a SHS went to town on my head so I know that feeling of loss. But it's like you're getting a second chance to do things better than before. Use this time to find ways to relax and enjoy your shorter hair as much as possible so you never have to look back or envy a short do.

You'll be OK, Hun.

The fact that it looks so much healthier than before makes me feel a little better. I haven't had my hair this short in years so I'm nervous about styling.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you were able to take the plunge, and I'm sure your hair will grow back much healthier than before. Enjoy styling!

The best thing you did was cut your hair. I had to cut my hair due to a bad texlax job in Nov 2009. Before you know it your hair will be back to apl and healthy.

i did this last year because of heat damage so i understand. It's bitter sweet. Sometimes i'd get upset thinking "where would i be, length wise, if i hadn't cut it off," (even now i think this sometimes) but then i remember the damage and would realize that the unhealthy ends would had just caused more damage and hindered my retention, health and the overall look of my hair. the second time around (on a hair journey) can be a better experience because you learn from your past mistakes. good luck on starting over, it will be back in no time :)

Hugs for your haircut. I know it's difficult.

Sent from my iPhone while out living my best life!

At least you've identified what the problem was. Now that you know, your hair will grow back longer and stronger. Hang in there!

Yep about 2 months ago I went from BSL to CBL/SL. Styling was frustrating, but soon you'll learn to love those fresh, healthy ends. It was the right thing to do.

@danibot, sorry to hear that but it will grow back. It's better to walk around with short healthy hair than long busted hair. Not to hijack your thread but I did something similar 2years ago. I've been wearing braids consistently until it grows back so I don't know what it looks like but it's definitely growing.

Awwww, I am sorry you had to do that. Stress will definitely eat up your hair. I hope that whatever was stressing you out has gotten better. I have definitely been there before. At least you have a head full of healthy hair and it will grow back in no time.

Awwww..I feel your pain. I went through the same thing 2 years. I can attest it will grow back and be stronger/healthier than ever. Enjoy that cut though, I bet it looks really cute!

Awwwww. So sorry to hear that. But glad that it looks healthier. Looking forward to watching you bounce back from that setback and on to more fabulous hair. :yep:

My job was the source of my stress- I started a new job this week and things are going great. Since my haircut, I've noticed the shedding and breaking has calmed down a bit. I think I made the right decision.

:bighug: :bighug: and more :bighug: You will bounce back. You did it once and you will do it again. Congratulations on your new job and stress free!

Sorry to hear that. Like you said before with a lil tlc your hair will be back in no time. Healthier than better. HHG.
