Setting straight hair

Besides wrapping how can you set your hair at night so it will be straight in the morning? Would large pin curls work?

I am getting sick of rollersetting my hair and would like a sleeker style but don't want to use the flatiron and don't want to wrap...

My wrap is horrible and I don't like to use a lot of direct heat.
