Shikakai or Shampoo?

Does anyone use Shikakai powder as a clarifer instead of shampoo? I read that it is basically a clarifier that does not strip the oil from the hair. Sounds awesome!

theres quite a few ladies on here that does. i mix it sometimes with my conditioner. i mean to do it every time i shampoo but i forget about it

I mix a few tablespoons in cheapie condish for co-washes. I use on my non-henna wash days . . .

I WASH WITH SHIKAKAI ONCE A WEEK IT CLEANS THE SCALP VERY WELL

I agree I condition wash once a week with Shakakai and conditioners. It really strenghten my hair, I stop once my new growth is thick because it can be something else to wash out.
