Hi l'm after shoulder length hair by christmas 2007.So i thought i'd start a challenge because I can only see waist lenght challenges. If you want to join me the please feel free. I would like my natural hair plaited at the shoulder or a bit below my christmas 2007. I'm taking all these vitamins daily eating a good diet full of tuna, potatoes and so on.

hair vitamins daily
mulit vitamins daily
biotin daily
evening primrose 500mg daily
amino acids daily

And i wash my hair with black soap shampoo. And its braided every two months untill I get sick of the braids. love bettytoo

My goal is to have shoulder length hair when stretched by april 2007. I hope to reach my goal before april 2007 though.

Count me in! I have 4 inches of hair right now so, shoulder length is my first stop before APL... (i'm in that challenge too). I know someone said that there is another SLC out there and I checked it, it looks like it started back in 05 and I didnt see any updates Since april 06. So, I guess this is a good one to start for '07!

Right now i'm alternating daily with homemade MTG (sulphur and castor oil, with peppermint oil) and MN mixed with castor oil, peppermint oil and WGO.

HHG!!:D

I'm in! My first challenge!! At the moment my hair is layered and the longest one at the back is at the nape of my neck. The pic in my avatar (sp) was taken in August.

I've just bought my MTG, I dont plan to relax until May (if that) so will be keeping my hair weaved, plaited whatever till then. I'm taking a trailer load of vits but plan on cutting down from Jan (havent decided which ones yet)...I've never had shoulder length hair (sad I know) but since coming to the board I've learnt it is possible and should be the bare min I strive for when in terms of wanting 'long hair'!!

I'm in! I'm in the newbie challenge, but my first goal is shoulder length. I hope to achieve this by mid-2007. I feel like I can't do all of the things the other ladies are doing to retain length because my hair is short. I do tie my hair up everyday and I oil and moisturize often. I'm an oil junkie. I usually air-dry , but I had to blowdry my hair this past Sunday. I'm going through some terrible post-partum shedding and my hair was coming out in knots. Everything is ok though. I do use the flat iron once a week.

Count me in. I am currently on a continuous braids cycle and will continue to do so through 2007. I do not take vitamins or supplements because I cannot swallow any manner of pills. First and foremost my goal is to have healthy hair and if that goes well, my hair should grow to about shoulder by this time next year.

I'm in I hope to reach shoulder length by summer 2007 I'll hopefully be braiding from now until then.

I'm in, too! My goal is to hit shoulder length by my birthday in March. Right now, my longest layer falls to where my neck and shoulders meet. I'm relaxing next weekend, so hopefully I'll see even more length then.

I'm in! I just did the BC in July, so my hair isn't one length, it's more umm round . My hair at my nape and almost up to my ears is pretty much there already, so I just want to get the top half of my hair there too, might be a stretch for the very top and bangs, but we'll see!

i'm in, i doing the c&g method, hopefully i'll hit shoulder by july 2007. then it's armpit by march 08 and brastrap by jan 09. i gave myself extra time in between so if i do hit it each goal before the dates, i'll be even more thrilled.

Hello, everyone, I am fairly new to this site, but I would like to be counted in the shoulder length challenge. Right now my current length is at the bottom of my neck in the back and sides but my front is short and grows really slow. I started using MTG in mid November so hopefully I see results sooner than I expect.

Hello,

I'm new to the board and would like to join this challenge. Two months ago my hair was past neck length but my hair dresser put what she called a rinse in my hair and it broke off tremendously, so it had to be cut. I cried for a week as my hair takes forever to grow.

However, I've been viewing LHCF for a few weeks now and have started to take care of my hair as suggested, so I'm hoping for growth and nice healthy hair for 2007.

My hair is currently chin length and I've managed to, at least for the moment, cut down on some of the breaking. It hasn't completely stopped but where I was seeing several hairs after washing, now I'm only seeing a few.

My current hair regime:

Washing 3 times a week (I deep condition with every wash)
Wash and deep condition with Nioxin (just received; was previously using NTM--will still use every now and then)
Moisturize with Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in conditioner and NTM Leave-in
Seal with Olive Oil

Also using WGO and MTG (see a lot of new growth, but only in the back????)--don't know what's up with the front.

Hair vitamins:

Ultranourish (just started; was using hair, skin & nail vitamins)
Prenatal Vitamins
Nioxin
Flaxseed
Silica

*It scares me to take this many vitamins, do you think it's too much? I don't want to overdose on vitamins or cause other problems. Should I cut back on something?

im not a vitamin expert but don't the prenatals and ultranoursih have the same things in them?

I'm in too!

I wash every four days with Suave Hum poo and conditioner.

I take Hair Factor vitamins by Twin Lab.
I want to try the neosporin af for rapid growth.

Any other suggestions?

I am definitely in. I just relaxed my TWA on Dec. 1 and I have 1.5-2 inches of hair all over. So I would say that I am shooting for Shoulder length by December, but I wouldn't be offended if I got it sooner than that... :)

Somewhat, but the prental vitamins doesn't have enough biotin (only 600 mcg) and doesn't have MSM and Silica in it. From what I've read, all these matter a lot. I'm trying to avoid taking several different pills. I haven't received my Nioxin yet, maybe they will contain enough Biotin for me to set aside the Ultranourish. Prenatal vitamins have worked wonders for me in the past.

Thanks for replying.

Flax seed oil is good for keeping the hair moisturized
MTG is good
Also, Biotin helps
