So, it *kinda* looks like a jheri curl (pics included)

I did my first wash today.

Well, actually I did an overnight DC followed by a co-wash.

I was amazed how my curls just POPPED after the DC :yep:

When my hair was still sopping wet, I applied some Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Style Conditioning Milk and followed with some Carol's Daughter Tui Jojoba Shea Butter Sheen . . . used both in my pre-BC wash and go's.

My hair is soft and beautiful . . . the only thing is that my curl pattern kinda looks like a jheri curl :look:

So, I salvaged the look with a headband/fascinator. I think tonight I will try to twist or finger coil or something, sleep on it, and the see what I've got in the morning.

Either way, I'm still pleased :yep:

LOVIN' MY NATURAL HAIR!

Here are some pics throughout the process . . .

After the overnight DC

Freshly co-washed (from the side)

Freshly co-washed . . . from the front. (When I first got the BC, one of the stylists complained that my stylist didn't cut enough in the front and that I still had some relaxed ends up there. As you can see, she was right. So I went ahead and grabbed a scissor and handled my business.)

Brushed back my edges with some aloe vera, added a fascinator to complete the look. (Sorry that it's sideways . . . don't know how to fix it!)

ETA - Paging Nonie, whom I've anointed my natural hair care big sista!

It does look a lil like a Jheri Curl wet but I really think they look nice and am glad you are happy with it.

Glib Gurl, I didn't get your mention. I loved jheri curls. The juice dripping is what gave them a bad name otherwise the curls were cute IMO.

Your hair looks pretty! I don't know if you were paging me to also help with the sideways pic, but if you were, here is the URL of it upright: http://tinyurl.com/78zrjrq
