Hi ladies,

I'm new to the forum I've been reading the post for a few weeks though. I'm desperately trying to grow my hair out for my wedding next year. I have a multitude of questions and have no idea where to start. I am in the process of trying to grow the relaxer out my hair is not strong at all. My hair in the back is to the nape of mu neck and on the sides it's a couple inches past my ears ( terrible) Anyway I went to the beauty supply yesterday and was talking to the owner an Asian woman and we were talking about hair care and she said basically what's said on most of the post that the key to healthy strong hair is a clean and mositurized scalp. She said it makes her mad when people come in and tell her her hair is different from theirs and she can't give them any advice. She said that i sound like I'm serious about growing my hair so she suggested I use creme of nature shampoo on my shampoo days and I don c/o washes almost everyday so she suggested I use Somang keratin pack. It's this Asian conditioner and they have a leave in as well. She gave me samples of the conditioner and told me to use it and if I liked it I could buy it. The conditioner is kind of expensive that's why she gave me the samples. Has anyone ever used or heard of this? Also my ends are herendous should I what to get some more length or have them clip ASAP?

PLEASE HELP!!

Hi and Welcome to the Board!

Regarding your ends, the trick is to find someone who will ONLY trim the ends and what is absolutely necessary. Anything more will set your progress back. --and then I'll have to call in the troops on your behalf

Thanks Supergirl,

I saw your hair care regime in the July feature. Your hair is gorgeous:) How often are you suppose to have your ends trimmed anyway? By the way since readign all the different post I have turned into a total PJ. i don't want to get carried away but I want to find what works best for my hair.

Hi Tgs...Welcome to LHCF!

When it comes down to PJism I find that if I purchase from chain stores that have a "Satisfaction guarantee" return policy on used products I can save a bundle as I try to find the right products for me. Samples are a good thing as well.

Tjs,

I think everyone will agree that you should have your ends trimmed only as often as it is necessary for you and your individual hair
