I forgot to mention I do them long for two reason
1. I like the size of the bun at this length
2. I want to be used to braiding them long when my hair gets longer. When hair is WHIP, I have to braid past WHIP to keep hair protected which would make my KBs have to be this long
I love it!

Works of faith and manifesting will absolutely yield benefits for you!:afro:

I'm checking our weather forecasts here, and it seems like its almost spring for us. Let me gear up to start the challenge this coming weekend. For me, this will last until April when we will be heading into Autumn again. I will be doing some form of a wash and go afro puff, and if I do protective style it will be wet twists. Until around Christmas, when I will get my holiday style. I hope this will boost my hair growth, which has been very minimal this winter. I think I managed to only get back to my pre-trim length from April, which is an inch or so of growth.

Hiiiiee, late to the challenge, totally forgot about LHCF because I was sporting a low cut for about 6 years. now Im growing out my hair again.
doing mini twists. Will take a pic so I can track for the remainder of the month.

happy growing and retention for all !!!

After watching this vid, i will not be doing weekly LC to minimize heat, will do LC at end of August when redoing KBs

I encourage you all to watch this vid for inspiration and motivate you stay on the right track for length retention until we reach our hair goals
Happy Growing :)

I watched the video yesterday. I liked that she took the time to study all the ladies habits and regimens. I'd say the main thing is consistency. And patience.

Thanks !!! watching the video now, and noticing that I was already subscribed to indigenous strandz (just followed curl code black)

Ive been noticing some split ends so Im gonna do a trim this weekend ... was planning to blow dry but will just trim before I retwist :drunk:

This morning I Moisturized with the Doux Supersonic Honey condish, made flaxseed gel and added to my mini twists , focusing on the ends. used jojoba oil to seal

one of things that I need to get on is remoisturizing before my ends get dry and crispy and start splitting/snapping off. i thin every 2-3 days should do.
