Ok, so I'm not really a big fan of doing my hair. But I thought I was doing good . :perplexed I did a dry DC with ORS (plus avocado oil and an egg) for two hours. Then I rinsed and let it air dry and used the ORS scrub. I rinsed and wrapped in my towel turban and took a nap. I got up and washed my hair with OCT shampoo, then used the creme rinse and cell therapy. I left the cell therapy in. I sprayed my hair and coated my ends as the cell therapy dried with sweet almond oil.

When my hair was about 80% dry, I blow dried it (but not completely), thinking I'll flat iron and wrap it b/c me and DH have a date tomorrow nite and I wanted to look nice. Then I said maybe I'll roller set instead. But I was having trouble doing the rollers! So I wet my hair again :drunk: and towel dried and used my wrap/setting lotion to do a roller set- only my hair felt tangled and stretchy. :nono:

I ended up washing again and again and just decided to put the cell therapy on my hair and call it a day. :wallbash:

I just don't know what to do! I feel like I'm doing more harm than good right now and it also feels like I can't handle my hair! I don't know if it's b/c I'm 8 wks post and exp new growth or maybe even more (my hair seems REALLY thick, and I'm naturally thick haired anyway) but I can't even twist it into a bun to wear a wig! And I don't like using rubber bands- even the soft ones. I can't do a braid or twist out- my hair comes out looking like a mess! It seems I'm stuck with ponytails and wigs!:pullhair:

Sounds like you are doing too much to your hair. I think you need to simplify things a bit and not use so many different products at a time. And try not to be discouraged. It sounds like you were just having a bad day. You should cut yourself some slack.

:hug2: I agree u need to keep it simple. Next time just wash and DC let dry put some leave-in/ hair protector and flat iron. That's it.:yep:

Yeah I agree. I think you are doing too many different treatments in one wash cycle. These sound like things you would be doing across the span of a month of washes.

But if you're trying to get your hair soft again especially since you're 8 weeks post...maybe try a co-wash and a moisture treatment.

Yes, I agree with the other ladies, keep it simple and do a good moisturizing deep conditioner to soften your hair.
