A work in progress
Alrighty, I'm perfectly willing to admit that I might be starting too many darn challenges  And I don't really anticipate a lot of people joining. But hey, this keeps me on track. Very simple rules:

- June 1st-September 9 is the timeframe, which is 100 days (sounds like a lot!)
- The goal is to limit direct heat, which is defined as: blowdryers, flat irons, curling irons, curling wands, blowdry brushes, pressing combs...did I leave anything out?
- Hooded dryers are indirect heat and can be used anytime. If you'd like to challenge yourself to go without it, that'd be great.
- You get THREE direct heat passes for the timeframe. Please post here when you or a stylist uses them. Pics would be awesome!

How do I join?
1. Optional: Share a starting pic in any style that you'd like.
2. Challenge goal: What do you want to accomplish with this challenge?
3. Regimen and styles: What's your routine for your hair? What styles do you plan to wear?
4. Planned heat passes: Do you plan on using your heat passes? If so, when?

- Personal Challenge goal: To get back into embracing natural hair "out" styles with shrinkage. My norm is flexi rod sets, or twistouts/wash and goes with the roots stretched. And they are so, so cute. But I need to get away from that and wear some shrunken hair styles. Like, I can't remember the last time I just wore a regular fro! I want to do that.

- Routine: Shampoo and DC at least 2x a week. Most of the time, I'll split my week in half. Half the week in a bun, half the week in an unstretched "out" natural style. When I start swimming, I'll have to shampoo more frequently and just stick to mostly buns.

- Heat pass plan: I will use at least one heat pass in the middle of June when I go to my stylist for a silk press and trim. The other two, I'm going to try to go without using.

Starting pic is on blowdried hair from this evening. My ends are in great condition, but a white shirt with a blowdry doesn't do it any favors. Ah well, I'm not in the mood to flatiron at home so this will have to do. I'll take my ending comparison on blowdried hair as well.

I also signed up for all the things but I think I will be able to do this with you. I'll get back to you on the intro questions in the morning.
Awesome! wonderful to have you join. :yep:

I'm kind of already starting. I shampooed, conditioned, and did a wet bun this morning at the gym. It feels so lovely to do that after a sweaty workout, although I do also like my bigger buns on stretched hair. I'm going to start adding a few style inspo pics to the thread of styles that I'm interested in trying.

I think I might join this challenge lol. It's starting to get hot out side and i don't wanna use any additional heat until it get cooler outside.

Day 2 of the challenge! I put my hair in large Marley twists yesterday and it’ll stay that way for at least 2 weeks, which is a decent investment on the amount of time spent (around 3 hours). As much as I love wearing my hair out, it felt good to do my sprints today without a single care in the world about how my hairstyle was going to fare afterwards :yep:
