K-Pak reconstructor IS THE TROOF!!!! Not for me, for my bff who is relaxed (I still haven't tried it yet). Let me tell you!!!!!!!! Her hair was shedding and breaking like crazy. I used the hairveda methi sativa duo, nada. This time I shampooed her hair with one of my chagrin valley soaps, then put the reconstructor on with a heating cap for about 20 mins (she needed protein badly), then rinsed that out, applied redken all soft heavy cream and put her back under the heating cap for 25 mins, rinsed, applied redken extreme anti-snap leave in (more protein) and lacio lacio (that stuff is the bomb!!!), wrapped her hair and put her under my hard hat dryer. Blew her hair out a bit with my dryer cause she still had dampness in the back. Now at this point let me tell you how THICK her hair looked and felt! The softness, the sheen! It was insane!

I'm over the moon because she didn't want to go natural, and I'm not going to push but her hair kept breaking! I swear up and down these stylists don't know what the hell they are doing. But I flatironed her hair with the solia and couldn't believe the results. I told her though, the girls on lhcf have some BANGING heads of hair and they are relaxed, so you can do it too, you just need to figure out what. So I surely came on here and perused threads before using the k-pak because errrr....last time I dealt with my own relaxed hair was over 8 years ago. Though we sort of need the same things.

Anywho, she's going to try to do her own hair, and I told her to come here because a lot of ladies are DIYers and it's not hard! So I read rave reviews on the joico line so that is what I told her to use. But I couldn't believe how well everything worked in her hair. As I was flat ironing it, NO breaking and no shedding. I told her I needed to take pictures and borrow her for a thread, and she loved her hair so much she didn't mind. BUT THANK YOU LADIES!! YALL SAVED MY BFF'S HAIR!!!

Thank you!! I mean you have NO IDEA the hair that was breaking off! And not shedding but BREAKING! Her hair has never really grown, dang not even bsl. That's because it was breaking all of the time!!

Her hair looks so nice! Soft and swangy, just like we like it! I'm glad you found something that worked for her, and that she was willing to listen to you and let you help her. I hope she keeps it up, because I'm likin what I see there! :yep:

You are a great best friend. Her hair looks healthy, soft, and shiny! I am glad you encourage her to become a DIYer and pointed her in the direction of the board. :)

Your BFF's hair looks great! She's lucky to have such a hair savy best friend. I have noticed a little breakage lately so after viewing this post I think I'll pull out the kpak. I already have some. I'm natural though, but it might help.

Your BFF's hair looks beautiful!:gorgeous: You did a great job! I know she feels so blessed to have you as a BFF!:yep:
