Well after trying to transition to natural hair, i have given up after 3 months and did the BC, I am glad I did it because my hair was in a bad state and for me it did not make sense to have new growth hair growing healthy while the rest of my hair was breaking badly.........it is on to a new journey in my life. I am feeling a bit self conscious so I went and bought myself a wig to wear to work, I will try to upload a pic................wish me luck!

You'll get through it. It's just the begining and perfectly alright that you feel the way you feel, but at least commend yourself for taking a step in the right direction. Congrats

Embrace you girl. I shaved my head bald twice (don't ask). The best thing I ever did for me. Congratulations!

Treat yourself to something nice for your big chop, and do something you like to celebrate, it will make you feel better. I felt naked when first chopped, so exposed. Once I got used to it; I felt so powerful and free.

Congrats!! Enjoy those early easy stages. I miss my short hair sometimes... especially when I'm in the middle of a long detangling session
