Don't mean to start a gripe fest but I'm fed up. I don't understand why I have so many different textures going on in my head. And the back left side does not look as good as the right side (seems thinner and NO I don't wrap my hair at night). I think that side just grows slower. I don't know if I should just kind of cut back there and start over or what. I am extremely tempted. I flat ironed my hair to go out last night but once I re-wash in the next few days I will not be straightening again until my vegas trip in about 4 weeks. Hopefully the daily cowashing will do a world of good.

Any one else have a portion of their hair that is THE DEVIL??

yep, my crown
the hair is really fragile, & shrinks something fierce...
some days i can deal with it
but other days i hang my head in frustration
that's one of the reasons why i like to wear buns...
it keeps mind off of it until it grows out more

The back middle is a pain as of this year. I've never had a problem with it before, so I'm extra confused about what the cause is. I think it's the way I was bunning. I've taken a break from that, so we'll see.

OP, I understand your frustrations -- it's all part of the process. I'm not sure how long you've been natural or transitioning, but one of the most important things is to love and accept your hair for what is isn't, along with what it is. I have at least three different textures growing out of my scalp and one side does grow faster than the other. The textures also don't match on both sides. But it's the only hair I'll ever have and I'm thankful for it.

That is exactly like my hair. The left side of my hair is a lot shorter and thicker than the right. Ive stopped wrapping it and I am trying to stop sleeping on that side. Its been this way for a long time. Im learning to deal though.
