Nevermind ...sorry

I am soooooo angry. So I have some videos on youtube about how I relax my hair. A couple of people asked me about it so I put it up on youtube. It wasn't to try to tell people how to do it but how I do it.

So I got a couple of messages from some stylists saying my technique was ridiculous, I should go to a professional, blah blah blah.

So I let one of them know why I do what I do and how I got where I got without a stylist.

So it's two days later and my video has been taken down. They are so worried that people like me are going to convince others to stop going to salons. Good grief ... if you are THAT good ... you don't have anything to worry about. Why harp on what I do for MY hair???

The one stylist actually has good pratices that are hard to come by which is why I don't understand why she even continued to sweat my style. I'm like duuuuude you are barking up the wrong dang gone tree.

Sorry for the vent.

Thats so dumb! Im sorry that happened to you. shame!

Thank you. And the sad part is ... there was nothing that I did/said (that I know of) which would be grounds for YouTube removing it. I never use any profanity or anything. :nono: Not even when the one kept commenting and sending me messages.

Did those stylist say what it was about your relaxer technique that
was wrong? How you do your relaxer is your business.

Ummm I just went on you tube and was watching your videos where you relax your hair! Its not down ...maybe your computer is acting up cuz I still can see it!!!!!!!!!!

Is your video still there LiLi?

These stylists are getting hit in their pockets! Did anyone hear Michael Baisden this week? It may have been Thursday, when he had stylists call up and talk about how the economy is hurting them. One had the audacity to say that women could lose their hair by not going to a professional! I wanted to call up and ream her out so bad!

You can upload your video onto your fotki account, if you have one. And then you can post a link in your siggy. That way people will still be able to see your video, and no one can sweat you. You could also write a disclaimer saying you are not a professional stylist and blah, blah, blah. That way Fotki can't trip on you either ;).

I have several ... but there is one where I was explaining how I prepare and now there are only comments on it. I can view all of my other videos.

If you can still see it ... let me know. I even tried to view it on my phone and got the same thing.

The video is still there.

I see the comments too :ohwell: I wouldn't even waste time replying. Keep doing what works for you.

Shoot!
After checking out that sticky in the Salon Review Forum you should have!:yep:

They said my technique of using clips was wrong and I was working
too hard. HUH??? ... if they only knew. :lachen: One said I was using metal clips ... WRONG ... they were plastic ... everyone knows relaxer and metal do not mix. The same one said that I shouldn't be relaxing over a period of days. Doing it this way, helps me to not have to worry about the relaxer staying on for too long. I have always done it this way since I started taking care of my hair.

I don't mind people saying I am doing something terribly wrong. But the one, especially, just kept saying that I should go to a professional. So it made me think that she was just trying to let others viewing it see her comment and not try it themselves and scare them from not going to a salon.

One girl messaged me and told me she tried it the way I do it and it worked out much better for her. I even say in one of my videos that one of the things that I did was not a good idea (using the plastic barrettes) and to not try it.

The ladies in this post say the video is still up, but when I clicked the link it said this video is no longer available. Maybe there's something wrong with our computers.

P.S. NOW I can see it. I wonder why it didn't show the first time I tried.

I didn't catch the show, but a lot of black women believe this. I'm not knocking stylists, but if I can do something for myself for cheap, then that is what I'm going to do.

I can't see it but I guess everyone else can?? I will try it in Mozilla ... I guess I should have done that first before starting some ish huh??

Yeah, but these stylists are definitely getting hurt because of the economy. I wasn't slamming them in my videos either ... just showing how I do my hair.

Ok, I just tried it in Mozilla and it works. It still doesn't work in IE though. Maybe something is wrong with youtube or something.

My bad ladies ... false alarm. But they still some bishes. :lachen:

The one even messaged me and said she was getting more views on her page because of her messages on my page. And this is before I even started this thread. This *****.

Yeah, these chicks are feeling it! They know that just because women aren't going to the salons doesn't mean we are letting our hair go to hell. We are doing it OURSELVES and they are getting hit in their pockets!

These tough economic times should be a wake up call to all of them to check the incompetence at the door and bone up on their skills!

Don't listen to those women (or woman) who say that you're using the wrong technique. As the saying goes, "the proof is in the pudding" and girl, your pudding was all of that ! You're hair turned out great and you have great length and shine. How can they argue with those results?

Oh most defintely. She said she offended me by saying my technique was wrong. HUH??? I'm not getting how she thought that. I thought she was going to step off after the first two messages but then she starting sending me pms. I'm like WOOOOAH ... why are you sweatin me so hard??? I was like didn't I give you props? What's the pro'lem??

Aaaw thank you!! I wasn't even studying them heffas until my video said it was no longer available ... then I was like ... you done done it now!! Good thing I came on here first before I started talkin ish on the one chicks page. Thank you ladies ... I love you all!!!

Oh yeah ... I was going to throw LHCFs name in there so they could see all the different "techniques" and the 100's and 100's of beautiful hair to go with them but we didn't need them startin no ish with people on here. :nono:

Thank you Muffin. I will look in to putting them in a fotki. Also, I did a disclaimer yesterday after the 4th PM from the one chick. I just have to post it up.

Well Lili, I use clips when I relax too and now have BSL hair. I don't see anything wrong with the technique you're using at all.

Those so called professionals are a trip.
