Are there any suggestions for products that can increase growth along the hairline? I've had this problem for as long as I can remember, I did notice a bit of thickness when I used to use Nioxin, but have discontinued the use of the shampoo, it was a bit too harsh for my hair.
I began experiencing the same problem a couple months back. I began massaging vitamin e oil in that area everynight. I also stopped using heat, I strictly airdry. Also my last touch up I didn't relax my hairline until I was almost ready to wash out. Doing these things have helped a lot. I also take vitamin e pills occasionally. My hair is looking a lot better and I can definetly see a difference. I know some people use ORS temple balm and surge for this problem also. I'm sure other ladies will offer other suggestions. HTH

I think this is very important. Even though the hairline and the "kitchen" can be the frizziest and most resistant looking area of the head, most times they are the most fragile and easily over-processed. Whenever I do my touch-up, I part off 1 inch of my hair all the way around my head(hairline, temples, ears, and kitchen) and apply the relaxer there last.
I think that Castor oil is also a good along with Vitamin E for massaging the hairline. I've heard the same thing about carrot oil, but I've never tried it.
Alternating Nioxin Follice Booster and Profectiv anti thinning cream grew back in my three bald spots and thinned hairline.
The most important thing I learned from this is not to relax hairline is there is not enough newgrowth in that area.
My hair broke off again after working so hair to grow it back and I had to start all over again.
The following are some of the benefits of Vitamin E
Helps stop and prevent further oxidation of chemicals used in perming, relaxing and coloring that can cause breakage, itchiness, and flaking
Can help prevent the oxidation of
testosterone - a major cause of hair loss
Vitamin E replenishes moisture to hair
If you look carefully vitamin e is listed as an ingediant in many hair products. It is considered to be the most important vitamin needed by the body. I think there are a total of eight vitamins that make up this family. They have tremendous effects on the hair, skin, and even cholesterol levels. I'll try to find some more information for you and post it if possible. HTH
