This hairstyle with no heat

Hello Ladies,
How would I achieve this hairstyle (basic idea of it) without heat? I'm presuming I'd have to do a roller set right? Then how would I maintain it all week?

... along those lines, without the defined curls, a bit of a messy look not that messy but something like that. I do it now but with a curling or flat iron. I flip the bottom half, bump the upper half and around my face curl backwards...I'm clearly not good with describing the hairstyle.....

I would rollerset with big rollers. Sit under the dryer, then when it's dry, comb it out and put it in a very loose bun on top of my head (with some kind of product), then maybe dry some more or keep it like that overnight. That's what I do by accident sometimes when I do rollersets and it comes out close to this.

It's a wig, so I would figure you can just do a roller-set with extra large rollers, then mess it up a bit. You can actually do better then the picture imo.
