Maybe I should have done more research on this, but this Biotin breakout is CARZY. I know it is because of the Biotin because I didnt have lil bumps like this before.

I am considering taken more water I usually only drink aboiut a glass in the morning with the pills.

I am also considering buying. MSM, Gelatin, B-5.

what are ya'll thoughts on these viatmins?

I never broke out while taking biotin. However, it made my already (very) oily skin even oiler (didn't even think it was possible).

Ive been taking Biotin I'll say for about a month and I have bumps on my face as well..

I had nooooooooooooo clue as to why I had these breakouts...

Hell, Maybe it is these damn pills

How much are you taking? I know there's a craze to take as much biotin as possible but it may be that your particular body doesn't need so much. Which is why the excess is not going to any good use.

SherryLove takes about 2mg or less and she experiences growth like crazy. Goes to show more isn't necessarily better. These side-effects are another reason why I say, it's better to get your biotin from a multi if you can...(I think the most you can get will be 3mg). I am all for multis because I believe the vits therein are balanced such that they do not cause side-effects. But if you still wanna take biotin in huge quantities, then load up on B5 too. That'll help with breakouts.

i am taking 2 mg, I am definately considering the B5 and also MSM to control the nappiness of the roots, and I heard that gelatin helps in hair growing also

I am taking biotin and I haven't noticed any breakouts.
Those other supplements sound like winners. I have heard other ladies rave about those.

Anjel, I just realized the amount of biotin you are taking was in your signature. Sorry for asking a dumb question.

2mg doesn't sound like too much, but again that's relative. It may be that you need to drink more water during the day. 8 glasses AT LEAST. And although that does seem like a tall order if you haven't been doing it, it's not too hard to do. One way to accomplish this is to drink your first glass when you wake up. Then have another glass 1/2 an hour before breakfast. And another an hour or two after breakfast. Then repeat that at lunch-time and supper-time. And then have a glass just before bedtime. And voilà!...eight glasses.

I don't like the taste of water (or should I say, absence of taste

) so I drink a dilute solution of 100% apple juice (one part juice to three parts water) throughout the day. Which means I need to drink more glasses to get enough water in me. So that's an idea for those that don't like water. Good thing with apple juice is it hasn't got any added sugar and it's pretty sweet to start with. So a dilute version is a better thirst quencher - to me anyway.

Nonie, I think that is a great idea. I figure that the breakouts are cuz of the no water or lack of water intake considering I am takin three pilll and only drinkin 1 glass of water just when I take them.

I noticed this too and I'm taking 10 mg of biotin. I just increased my water intake and it's gone.
