...that you suspected may be a member or lurker? I rarely see any heads that catch my eye where I live but today I saw someone who looked like she had rently BC'd and she was talking to some white guy about her hair.

Do you ever see anyone you suspect may be on the boards?

Surprisingly no. I've seen a lot of people that transitioned in the last two years when the boards went natural but they seemed to not have any idea about this board. I do think a lot of them visit hair blogs.

Generally speaking around me I see people with very long healthy natural add relaxed hair so something's definitely filtering through.

no

in central london i see alot of nice natural heads but i don't think they're on forums. maybe they've seen stuff from youtube or blogs here and there.
i generally don't see black hair past SL but hair is a little more healthy looking than it was some years ago. i'm glad something is getting through. i've actually seen nice weaves. its mostly girls my age so maybe they have a friend on the forum that is telling them about good weave practices.

Yes I do once in a while...what gives people away for me is the obvious PSing- gotta keep those ends protected.

If you see me you will be able to tell because I stay on the Iphone LHCF app!! My commute is not complete without my daily dose ;)

Yes. There is a lady at work who always wears her natural hair in lovely twists. They are shiney and juicy and look very healthy. Sometimes she wears a head wrap and sometimes twist outs and sometimes a fro.

I asked her not 2 weeks ago how she cares for her hair.
Her exact words were, i co-wash every week and only shampoo once a month. I sometimes use Betonite Clay (sp?) to cleanse my scalp......'
She was in hurry to get to a meeting so the convo was short

Girl - if you are on lhcf i have just outted you!!!

Whenever i see women with a twa i now automatically assume they BC'd - lol.

Whenever i suspect someone is wearing a half wig (and it looks good) i think they are protective styling.

Yep! I was on the bus one time going to Paks to buy some supplies and I was sitting behind a lady with lovely natural hair tied back in a bun. And I immediately thought, hmmm, protective styling.

Then when I got to Paks, a few minutes later I saw her in there too! And she said to me, "Hey, you're natural, right? What gel would you recommend?" And I recommended IC Fantasia so she bought it.

I like to think so! Especially in London hair shops, anytime hear someone says something suspect like 'I've given up sulfate shampoos', 'I only wash with conditioner' or come in looking for something like Jamaican Black Castor Oil i'm looking at them like O_O

But I think it's more beauty/hair blogs and product reviews getting people jumping on better hair care habits.

I saw a woman with a beautiful puff yesterday, but for some reason I didn't think she was a member.
The black women I see everyday do not have healthy hair, and I stay hair-watching.

If one of you guys saw me on road today I don't think you would think I was a member, because my hair is still quite short, but hopefully this time next year it will be clear. I normally wear my hair in a bun, my bun is still quite small at the moment.

I assume that members on here have nice hair and I really haven't seen many black girls with nice hair. It's sad. :(
