I am trying to debate which relaxer I want to try out and would like to hear your experience if you are using anyone of these.

I have been using silk elements regular lye. I love the relaxer but its leaving me underprocessed and I have noticed some shedding with it as well.

I have used Revlon Realistic Lye and Hawaiian Silky No Base before. Revlon Realistic used to be my staple relaxer because I read in Consumer Reports that it was the least damaging at the time. This was more than 10 years ago so I am not sure what the rankings are now. Anyway, I used the one that came is a box but it was a lye relaxer. What I liked most about it was that it came with the Perm Strengthener leave in that I could not find at the time anywhere. It also straightened my hair well and I have really coarse resistant hair. It probably comes is a bigger container now since it can be bought as just a relaxer tub, but back them I hated that it only came is a very small container so sometimes I would buy two.

I liked how Revlon Realistic worked with my hair, but it did not give me much lustre or silkiness so I switched to Hawaiian Silky No Base after about 3 years. I still use Hawaiian Silky, although I did switch to ORS Lye this year but will be switching back to HS at the next retouch. What I like about it is that it does not burn at all, my hair feels smooth and silky afterwards, and I can get my hair bone straight which is my preference. I have never used Vitale, but it is made by the same company as Hawaiian Silky so it may be similar, but I can only vouch for Hawaiian Silky.

Revlon gave me burns even with the regular relaxer. I used Vitale for my last touch up and though it was slightly under processed in the front, I'll use it again cos it gave me a nice shine and it relaxed straight. I've never used Hawaiian silky but I might try it someday.
