Vitamin Question

Ladies:

I am taking two different vitamins. One is a hair, skin, nail combo. The other is a fish, flax and borage oil vitamin. I started taking the latter vitamin b/c my skin got so dry and my doctor suggested that fish oil could help lubricate my skin from the inside out. Anyway, my skin condition got pretty bad, so I was taking the vitamins twice a day (early morning and late evening). Anyway, it worked wonders. It looks like it's helping my hairline too (it's filling in nicely from some braids that thinned it out a bit).

I'm asking, do you all think this is dangerous? If so, please let me know. I am not trying to grow my hair any faster than it will, but I like what it's doing to me. I also eat pretty healthy and work out, so I'm not sure if that's what's been helping too! Thanks!

I seriously doubt it's dangerous. I've had several types of vitamins in my regimen with no problems. :)

Thanks CandiceC. Bumping for more answers. Bump, bump, bump!

If your Doctor recommended it, I don't see what's wrong w/it, especially since it's working.

The dosage is for me to take once a day. I'm doubling it and taking it twice a day, that's why I asked if you all thought it wasn't safe!

I would say it depends on what's in it...some things can be toxic to your system if you overload...however, I kind of doubt that's the case with a vit your doc recommended...I would give the MD a call and inquire about an increased dosage.

Thanks for the tip!!!!!

Oh okay, well I would just check w/the doctor that recommened it, they will know better than us since they know your health history, it many pple do this sometimes, I don't, w/out any bad affects, but some do experience break-outs.
